Hi Java,
1970
I remember the 360 well.
I was "data processing mgr" in a bank.
The room also had a check sorter in it that was about as big as a small car, had about twice as many parts, (really), and needed to be serviced, (several hours), about twice a week.
We thought we "dancing on the edge".... and I guess we were. After all computers had had something to do with getting a man on the moon the year before!
I left in 1972 and didn't come near a computer again until 2006.
Regards,
Alan
49 with about 77 years of mileage. I'm like when you look at a used 2010 model car and you're like "Holy crap, this thing has 310,000 miles on it!!"

Whose generation do you think built the Internet? I'll confess though, after being in high tech field for 30+ years, I can't wait to retire, turn the switches off and get as far away as I can.
I wonder if or what differences would be evident if this poll were to be taken in the different generation forum sections!
I think the number of owners in a c4 section would be massively changed. Here the largest number of owners are the guys who got to see these cars when they were new. Also these cars are EXTREMELY expensive compared to the c4s. I think the c4 thread would mostly be a majority of under 30y/I members. I think c1&c2 has nearly no one under 35. Jmo
26 y/o I bought my c3 at 24 as a deal with my wife. I would stop riding motorcycles in LA if I could buy an rebuild a vette. She got the better end of that deal. I should have just bought the vette and let her be pissed off for a few months. :peace:
I know and see a lot of people that have celebrated barely half the number of birthdays I have that really look old! While I may not run as fast as I used to - I see a great deal more . Being retired for 13 years means I don't need to rush any more anyway .
At 67 nothing bothers me and happily there are still a lot of cars that are really fun to drive and tinker with. I hope that my grandsons catch the car bug just like I did - in the 50's - and have as much fun as Grampa still does playing with his gas powered toys .

I'm 31. I took a ride in a 2013 grand sport and loved it. However, there's nothing like a c3. You'd think that being in the younger generation would automatically make you favor the new stuff out there but I love cruising in a car where I can diagnose a mechanical problem without a laptop, that runs on higher octane, and sounds good while looking looking good.
