i am routing the front headlight vac hoses and electrical on my 68'. AIM shows "straps" that apparently push into header bar to route and organize the hoses across the front of the hood area. my header bar does have 4 holes across the front which i assume are for these straps. does anyone know where i could find something like that? thanks, Rick
Hi r,
I find that Dr. Rebuild has a very extensive selection of all kinds of original style clips and fasteners for vacuum hoses and electrical harnesses and wires.
I believe (at least by 71) the vacuum hoses were fastened to the forward lighting harness with black plastic t-straps and the harness was fastened to the header bar with clips.
Maybe in 68 too?
Regards,
Alan
Hi Brent,
Thank You!
I had so little experience when I started my restoration that I wondered about EVERYTHING, so I took what seemed like a lot of picture... but that was long before digital cameras... so 750 pictures seemed like a lot.
While I was restoring my car, and still today, I take pictures of things that were a bit of a PUZZLE or INTERESTING to me.
I have thousands of pictures now of things no one asks about, and a few hundred of things that people ask about over and over.
It's fun to be able to sometimes help someone who's working on their car in their garage by themselves like so many of us.
Regards,
Alan
