Default Very bad day

I worked for a year stripping and priming my car for paint, waited 4 months for it to be painted, put it back together, drove it 135 miles since I finished it in Feb. now of all things I drove it to the office today and hit a large pit bulldog on my way to lunch. I now have a 14 inch break in the right front fender and didn't kill the damn dog. What luck! Back to body work now.

I feel bad for what happened to your car but would the dog giving up his life for the stupidity of his owner have really made the situation better?

I know how you feel about the damn dog walking away after it destroyed your car. Fault with the owner or not a dog that walks into the street without looking at its surroundings is stupid. I feel horrible for the dog being hurt. I feel really bad for you and your car. Was the dogs owner around or did the dog run off and you got nothing?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune! Does doggy's daddy have insurance to pay for your damage? Pet owners are responsible for controlling their animals when out in public.

You guys are correct about it is really not the dogs fault but I have a thing against pit bulldogs in general. In the south many people have the breed and rarely a month goes by that one of them disfigures a child. I have 2 protection German Shepards and take good care of them but the only dogs I really like are the Ga Dawgs. Sorry for the rant but sick about the car, its just been one of them days.

Thats BULL, I have 2 rescue pit bulls and a rescue rottweiler and they wouldnt hurt a fly, they hide under the bed when it thunders and will lick you to death. There aren`t any bad dogs just bad humans who make them that way.

I am with you when it comes to Pits. I used to live in metro Atlanta so I know where you are coming from. Chances are the owner, if it had one, doesn't have two nickels to rub together. Pits are now suffering from what GSDs suffered from, bad breeding and reputation. I had am a former GSD owner so I am biased in your favor when it comes to them. Mine certainly kept my wife safe a number of times in Georgia.

Hate to hear about your car. Did the dog just dart out in front of you?

Yep, came out of nowhere. I caught a glimpse of it just before the hit. I didn't mean to start an argument with the dog lovers just pissed about my car.

Hey I`m not arguing I am really sorry your car got messed up, I live out in the country and we have taken in every stray that someone didn`t want and just dropped off to fend for themselves, you wouldn`t believe the menagerie we have here but they all get along and are happy. It`s like my Son In Law says that ASPCA stands for At Skips Place Care Awaits.

There are bad Pitbulls as well as there are bad other dogs too. I've seen Pitbulls turn for no reason as well as other breeds. If small dogs had the *** to back it up, they would have a bad rep. also.
Not always, but often the fault of a poor owner.
To bad about your car, but might have been a runaway grocery cart. $hit happens sometimes.
