Oh, no. We were stationed in Northern California before Hawaii (Beale AFB 2006-2010 then Hickam AFB 2010-present).

Sorry to hear about your car....sometimes it doesn't pay to get up in the morning.

I do agree with you about Pit Bulls. When was the last time anyone heard about a Labrador Retriever killing another dog or maiming a child?

I saw first hand what a Pit can do. A neighbor was walking a lab puppy destined to be a seeing eye dog except another neighbor's Pit got out and ripped this puppy to shreds killing it.....nothing would stop this dog until a neighbor came out and hit it with a baseball bat. This Pit had been raised in an upscale suburban neighborhood by responsible owners...the owner said she couldn't understand what happened...... said he never did anything like this before.

I love dogs...had them my entire life...have a Black Lab now that a little over a year old and is a real mush but I have to say if I see a Pit I turn and walk the other way, it's the one breed I just can't trust.

Yup sorry about the car, hopefully you will have it fixed perfectly.
As for Dogs, I love them all except for the ones that cant be trusted, and one of those happened to be pitbulls. One dog that is one brick shy of a load. When was the last time you read about a lab or a sheppard mauling someone or another animal, not biting, I mean mauling.
I had a sheppard for 14 years till I had to put her to sleep. Would not let anyone in the house or backyard without permission, but would lay in the front yard with no fence while I was out there doin yardwork and wouldnt move from her spot no matter who or what walked by.

your story reminds me of my father and his 54 corvette. i remember this car from when i was just a wee lad. he spent 2 years customizing the front end(this was the early 70s) and on the day it was to go in the shop for pain, a guy in a 59 plymouth wiped it out!

That sucks!! I know the feeling...My friends are conviced there is an invisible bulls eye on my C5. About once a year something gets it. Last Thanksgiving was a deer. Good thing is that the car is like playing with legos. Just snap another piece on and paint it. :-)

Definitely could have been worse. Here's my encounter with a white tailed deer yesterday morning. Brand new 2013 427 convertible. Total damage right now stands at $17634.

Aw man, that makes mine minor. Like a friend said " if you drive a junker nothing ever happens to it, but vintage cars seem to have bad luck".

Mine looked the same. (Stomach is hurting) It didn't add up to that much tho.
