thd400 to 200r4
Can't seem to find the first gear ratio in the 69 turbo 400. The car has 3.08 gear set, the first gear ratio in a 200r4 is 2.74. Don't want to make the car any more of a pooch from the stop lite. Any body with a lite to shine on this? terry

Here is info on my install.
200-4R install
200-4R: 2.74 first, 1.57 second, 1.00 third, .67 fourth
Turbo 400: 2.48 first, 1.48 second, 1.00 third.

Another thing to consider is a 700R4 trannny, as has a 3.05 1st gear, and the the same od 4th 0.70, as the 200. Maybe a good way to get a little deeper 1st ratio, without changing out anything else. Done 700R4 swaps myself, and do require the driveshaft shortened a bit, but no big deal.
