The CD is The CD, of all the other CD's out there, that I made for my vette (second only to one other CD). I am not allowed to listen to it anywhere other than in the vette, and I actively avoid listening to any songs that are on The CD outside of the vette. Funny thing is, I made it 3 years ago. 3 years ago I thought I would find my vette in a few months and get to listen to some good tunage... didn't go that way, it took me 3 years (as in I just recently bought my vette). So I wasn't allowed to listen to these songs for 3 years until I finally took my vette for her first run. Even worse, my vette doesn't have cassette nor CD player... so I had to bring a boom box. At this point I'm sure some of you are wondering what the hell I'm on about. Not much really, just an odd story and a question: What is your ideal cd to listen to in your vette? This is mine:
1. Highway to Hell-AC/DC
2. Kickstart My Heart-Motley Crue
3. For Those About to Rock-AC/DC
4. Fuel-Metallica
5. Bad to The Bone-George Thorogood
6. Crazy Train-Ozzy Osbourne
7. Hold Me Back-AC/DC
8. Can't Stand Still-AC/DC
9. For What It's Worth-Buffalo Springfield
10. Gimme Shelter-Rolling Stones
11. Radar Love-Golden Earring
12. Black Betty-Ram Jam
13. Night Train-Guns n' Roses
14. Rag Doll-Aerosmith
15. Shoot to Thrill-AC/DC
16. Old Time Rock and Roll-Bob Seger
17. Slither-Velvet Revolver
Couple things to note: lots of AC/DC... unintentional. Metallica is my favorite band, AC/DC is just more upbeat, and that is what I was shooting for with this. Slither is a curveball amongst old classics. Couldn't have it be all old school. Order is crucial to keep the flow smooth as possible and give some contrast even though upbeat is the idea (similar to good things seem gooder when following bad things).
I personally think your missing some good ones .. Rev on the Red line ,, come on now where is it ? Flirting with disaster , , heck even east bound and down .. I could go on but there you go
Great list!!! I've got to be able to play the drums and guitar while I'm driving... Couple of more:
Stranglehold (pick slide starts on passenger side of the car and ends up at driver's window)
No more tears
Stiff Upper Lip
Hotel California
Bring your whiskey home!!!
No more CDs!! Let's get a MP3/iPod going so we can store all the classics!!!
