Default 1976-adjusting rear spring

i have put new shocks and a-frame bushings in the front of my car. now, the rear seems to sit slightly lower than the front. will new bushings for the rear spring bring it back to level? would using shorter bolts work? from what i've read, getting a new spring would raise it too much requiring me to get longer bolts only to lower it back down?!?! i would only like to raise it about 1''.

What do the rubber spring cushions look like? Squashed?

Sounds like the front of your car is too high. The A-arm retaining bolts should only be tightened once the car is sitting on the ground. Common mistake.

If you only want to raise it 1" run the nuts up on your rear spring bolts . It is easy and free .
Then you know what length of bolts you will need .

bushings are squashed and cracked. thought about replacing those and loosening a-frame bolts to let the front settle. if that still isn't enough, how much can the stock bolts be adjusted?

You can take the nut up to the extent of the threads. Going down, you are supposed to go no further than where the cotter pin will fit.
