Visually disturbing Vette Pic

Thanks for the pictures.

Because of their reliability, these two guys drive everywhere. Probably put more miles in a week than most do in a month. IIRC on the 63 he supplied a 2010 Grandsport. It's what he wanted and great for him he had the $ to do it.
First, thanks for posting. I, too, agree with straightjacket's (beautifully-concise) humor, when he said "which is the bad one?" I don't care for C1's, personally, but that kinda changed when I saw the TRUNK.

Please make mine a '63 with C5, C6 mechanicals.

Any idea what that would cost?
Dumb Question: Do they use a real '63 VIN/body, or is it an all aftermarket body? Because maybe it's the small pic or the giant wheels, but the lines don't look quite right on the Tomato Mid-Year. (I can't see if it's actually a Split Window, from that pic, but I assume it is since you mentioned a "'63").
I'd even like a C3 with modern frame/suspension/driveline, etc.... All the love without the drama!
Any idea how unaffordable that would be?

Thanks for the post, and any additional info.
Peter

This created a problem because the lights were too low off the ground. He had them moved up top. The doors were cut to now open (electric) and expose the headlights. Apparently there is fed law stating headlights must be over 24" from the ground and no higher than 54".
I was there to ask advice of the c3 club members there, hoping to find a local person that rebuilds trailing arms. no luck inside but I met a guy that had a c2 for sale that put me on the trail of someone in the area.
all in all it was a decent show. and your right, you just have to see that car up close to understand how bizarre it looks. for the money, I would just as soon have a late model vette , just the way that gm built it. oh and thanks for posting the pics!!
FYI, I just dropped it off at Hesco in Birmingham for a dyno-tune. They have a full machine shop and would be worth checking out for your trailing arms.

but I would rather try and drive that 1000 miles than an actual 53...
