Default Radio upgrade help

Without going into a whole lot of detail, I've been looking for a new replacement radio shorter in depth than the oem 5.5". I though the Retro Sound would be it considering they say it's "super small" but its depth is 6". USA 630 depth is too much also. Anyone have any ideas

Twinray,go to Willcox site and look at the radio's there, they offer one that has a shorter depth and looks factory, its listed as reproduction,it will be the most expensive one listed under stereo's.

I'm putting in a Scosche Blue Tooth Stereo Receiver with Wireless App Control. The Scosche double din kit GM1594 is perfect and the head unit is awesome.....just sayin'

You can always go with one of the "hidden" radio units that you can mount anywhere and take up no dash space.

I just installed a retro sound model 1 in the 78 a couple days ago. I believe it was shorter than 5.5. I can measure when I get home and take a pic if you'd like. the sound was way better than I expected.

Check here. Mike and Chris, a husband and wife shop. They re-did a radio for my co-workers 69 Alfa.

Thanks - I'd appreciate that photo - they say the depth is now 5.37".
