Default 68 Hardtop Latch Question

Hi guys, looking for any advice before I get started. My hardtop latches (front latches) are very loose. They do not stay in the locked position. My question before I remove the top and get into it is, is there a way to tighten the action up on these or should I just replace? This is the original 68 hardtop for my car.

Thanks in advance for any help. Stay safe, john

The latch bolts can be adjusted to tighten things up.

Do you meen the bolt that is threaded in that comes into contact with the header? If so, I tried that. It comes into contact but falls back down. It just seems like the whole assembly is loose.

That bolts should provide the adjustment - screw it out to get the top more snug or in to get it loose.
