I have moved over from the C5 forum after selling my 2000 Torch Red Vert. I wanted something less complicated to "play with" after I retire within the next year. I purchased a 72 coupe, Bryar blue, base 350-matching number, auto with A/C (all there but not working). As far as I can tell it's pretty much original, showing normal wear and tear for a 41 year old Vet. Since I have had it I have replaced the front differential mounting cushion, drive shaft universal joints, replaced the rear transmission seal to stop a minor leak, and put on new tires. The interior is in fair condition. The paint is either a very old respray in lacquer or possibly factory, but definitely showing its age. My next project will be to tackle the barely working parking brakes. My goal is to drive and enjoy as a weekend cruiser and address the inevitable mechanical issues as the arrive. I have already enjoyed reading the various C3 posts and the information members share.
Hi p49,
That's a very nice looking car in those pictures!!!!
I'll bet it turns a lot more heads than your 2000 convertible did.
Good Luck with it as you get to enjoy it.
Regards,
Alan
Beautiful C3! Like your 89' C4 too. It's great to have both.
It would be nice to still have both. Sadly, I sold the 89 a few years ago to buy the C5, It was a very nice 1 owner 6sp with only 27500 miles on it when I sold it.
