Does anyone know who the cars were keyed from the factory in '69? I have a non-alarm car and am wondering if there is supposed to be separate keys for the ignition, doors, rear compartment tray, and spare tire tub lock. Did the cars really come with all these keys? I would think the doors, rear compartment, and spare tire tub would all be one key. At least the doors and rear compartment anyway.
Hi c,
I believe in 69 the rectangular-head key was used on the doors and ignition, (E keyway), while the round-head key was used for the rear storage compartment lock and the spare tire lock, (H keyway).
Cars with the optional alarm had a third key.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks for the help. I need to replace all my locks, and I can't seem to find a vendor which sells a factory correct set-up.
My user's manual is ruined (long story) but as I recall I've looked there before and was not able to find an answer.
