Project Monaco '69 Corvette

The car was originally green, but we aren't building a numbers matching car, so we are going to paint it a color we want. Still going with a factory 69 vette color though, Monaco Orange. I looked at the color chart top to bottom until my eyes crossed in the past few weeks leading up to delivery of the car, red, black, white, meh, those are a dime a dozen. I didn't want to go green, or any other odd color. But the orange, it just pops and catches your eye. I was always a fan of the "red" on the 56-57 cars which was really orange. I think this one will look nice with a black top and black interior.
Here is a sample of the color.

We loaded the car two weeks ago to take to our buddy who is going to get her running and driving for us.
Picked up a ton of parts at the Corvette Expo in Tennessee last weekend, I forgot how fun it was to swap meet hunt! Here is our list of finds.
Used finds
Gas Tank
Gas Tank Cap
Filler neck(being mailed to us)
shifter bezel/center console piece
Clutch fork, z bar, ball, etc.....
Also picked up a few new parts.
New Power Steering Brackets and a Pulley to go with our reman pump. Picked these up from Loanstar Corvette's, easier just to buy than hunt.
Also picked up a new set of Calipers from Loanstar. Can't beat the show price of 389 exchange. Comes with new lines, some hardware, pads, hoses, etc.
Also picked up a used radio and speakers from the guy we got the car from.

Best part of the trip was we sold our Chevelle while we were there, so we were left in our spot with our chairs and a car load of parts! It all worked out though, we hitchhiked home lol.

Hopefully I'll have some more progress pictures soon! When it gets back we are going to iron out a few more drivability issues, then take it to paint over the winter!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Did find a killer deal on these aftermarket side pipes! Can't beat a side pipe car and for 200 dollars could't beat the price!

It's home and it lives!! More pictures to come.

I never posted any engine shots so here it is, looks pretty good in there. Still plenty of detail work to be done.

Side pipes are on and sounds AWESOME.

Next real step is some sort of interior. I'm gonna try and start piecing some of it back together to see just what we have, just what we need, and what needs replaced, etc. etc. Plus it would be nice to have enough interior to drive it around the neighbor hood to start working any drivetrain bugs out that might be present.
