Default Weekend Mechanic help

Folks,
After owning my 73 base coupe for a little more than a year and easily putting 7k into it I have decided to start working on the engine. being experienced enough with wrenches to get in real trouble I am looking for a mechanic with some Corvette experience to work with me on a Saturday or Sunday. I am willing to pay a fair rate for his assistance, but experience and reliability are a must. If you know anyone local to Connecticut please let me know. I can be reached at 860-324-6666
Thanks,
Mark

Purchase one or two of the How To Rebuild Your Smallblock Chevrolet books and read through them. At the least, you'd have an idea of how things work.

It's also a great way to meet other enthusiasts.

You probably just need to pay a small fee for a six pack of beer and people will come running.

What are you looking at doing? Nothing special about a corvette engine. Just a Chevy block, probably a 350. Couple books and you can start tinkering yourself. If you go to deep, this is a great place to turn to. I have yet to come across something new in the last 12 years of owning and working on the car.
