Folks,
After owning my 73 base coupe for a little more than a year and easily putting 7k into it I have decided to start working on the engine. being experienced enough with wrenches to get in real trouble I am looking for a mechanic with some Corvette experience to work with me on a Saturday or Sunday. I am willing to pay a fair rate for his assistance, but experience and reliability are a must. If you know anyone local to Connecticut please let me know. I can be reached at 860-324-6666
Thanks,
Mark
Can't say enough about this...I needed some help when I was doing a chassis rebuild, posted in my regional section and had two guys show up on a Sunday and spend much of day with me just for the fun of it.
You probably just need to pay a small fee for a six pack of beer and people will come running.
What are you looking at doing? Nothing special about a corvette engine. Just a Chevy block, probably a 350. Couple books and you can start tinkering yourself. If you go to deep, this is a great place to turn to. I have yet to come across something new in the last 12 years of owning and working on the car.
