Default Sealer question

There is a channel between the rear of the stainless t top panel and the front edge of the rear roof panel. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be sealer in that channel? If yes, what belongs in there? Right now there is some dried out and flaky something.

Thx

The sealer is under the stainless t-top trim and the side trim (Halo). The seal is like the 3M strip calk.

Did you scrape out the old stuff? Not sure how to do that and not damage anything.

3M strip caulk or also known as dum dum putty. I got mine at NAPA. Come in a blue and white box with about 4 layers of multiple strips separated with wax paper. Use rubber gloves when applying bc it will get sticky and leave a residue on your fingers.

Hi,
I believe the sealer was something like the 3M strip sealer that has been suggested.
I'd use a plastic scraper to get it out without damaging the paint.
Regards,
Alan

Here's the remains of some of the original on my 71.
