Default Mako Shark II

I love C3's, and although I've been aware of the Mako Shark II, I just learned about the unique controls and the many custom features of this model. How many forum member have seen one, let alone own one?

WOW! Shades of the future...digital gauges...adjustable foot peddles...rear deployable spoiler...early C3 hide away wipers...clam shell hood that showed up on the C4...ignition is on the center console....quartz headlights....cornering lights linked to turn signals kinda like the movable headlights cars have on them now.......sure would like to own that baby. Thanks for posting it.

I've seen the Mako II on static display; it was in the NCM for a while.

I remember seeing it along with the Mako Shark I and the Aerovette as part of the GM Heritage display. Pretty interesting styling exercise cars!

When? The car hasn't existed since the late sixties. It was revamped into the Manta Ray.

Thanks for sharing. The car really had some neat features. Although I'm not a fan of the highly exaggerated styling, it sure turned heads. I found some other pics of the car online, it looked really good from above and behind. Ill bet it looked way better in person.

Sweet looking car - thanks for posting, Mike. This was a little before my time. Can anyone remember when this car made its debut? It must of caused some commotion in the automotive world. I know I would have "wanted" one. BK3
