Hey all, bought some new interior door panels for my 76 from Corvette America, and i've gotten them installed. But i have one alignment problem, i've emailed CA about it but i thought maybe i could get a faster response here, maybe from some people that have installed them personally.
Everything around the perimeter of the panels line up, there are no gaps between the panel and the door itself. But my door release lever isn't sticking out were it needs to be, its still about a 1/4" recessed into the door panel and looks likes its bottomed out. I can't get the lock **** on either. It was a pain to get that lever back on, and i still can't get the other one on. I must have missed a step?
hmm, they were supposed to be 76's, they looks really close to my originals. Kind of off the wall, i know mine is an early model 76 and there is a late model 76. Could there be a difference in the door panels that way?

Probably not. It might be just the pic, but the bezel looks like it is not correctly installed in the panel. Did you order your new panels with or without the trim installed?
no i cheaped out and bought the basic door. should have spent the extra $200 bucks and got the panels with hardware installed. The chrome pieces are all the way in, can't go any further although it looks like they stick out a little.
