Power window stopped working
The drivers side window in my 79 stopped working (in the down position). The passenger side still works fine so it cant be the fuse. I bought a new motor for the window and plugged it into the wires without removing the existing one hoping to see if it was the motor, but the new motor does not spin when the switch is pushed. I took the console panel off and moved the switch from the passenger side which is working to the drivers side and still nothing. So it looks like there is no power going through the switch to the motor. Any ideas? Is there an inline fuse I am missing. I looked in the AIM but do not see one.

The window motor will not work if it is just plugged in. It gets its ground through the body of the motor. You can plug it in and ground the body of the motor to a good ground on the car to test it.
