Ok, so I have a 79 with pop-up head lights, and looking at a set of daytona style fixed head lights on a 71. Is there a difference in the headlights between these years? Will these lights fit my car, and will my lights, and all the parts that make them work fit in his car?

Nose bars were different between 71 and 79. That may mean the 71 stuff will not bolt up to your 79 without a bit of tweaking on your part.

You'd save yourself some possible grief by ordering the aftermarket conversion for your model year.

Well, I think I am all set. The car the fixed lights are coming off is a 71, but they were the fixed lights for a 77, so they will fit my 79 just fine. And he is doing a "flipnose" custom job, or something like that, but everything he is doing is going to have to be custom either way.

Thank you for the info though!
