My C3 Build Thread
Hey all,
Just joined the forum and wanted to share my progress of a C3 build I am doing for a friend.
This is a 79 Vette with about 90k on the odometer. Right now the car is completely stock. My plans are as follows:
Chevy Performance zz4 350 crate motor
Holley Terminator EFI conversion kit
Chevy Performance Serpentine Kit
Edelbrok 2101 intake manifold
complete suspension rebuild/refresh
brake system upgrade/refresh
whatever else comes along...
Here are the pics of my current progress so far! Comments are appreciated!
Original Engine Removed!
Exhaust Manifolds Removed - these are going on the zz4 during break in. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good set of ceramic headers?
Serpentine kit has arrived!
DOH! My friend had someone install new brakes before bringing the car over. Looks like I will be replacing the brakes too! The outside pad was installed BACKWARDS!
That's all for now... I just got 3 large boxes from Jegs so I will update tonight with some more pictures. Crate engine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

looks like a good project with lots of new parts going in. Where did you order the serpentine kit from and how much did it run (if you don't mind sharing). Also would love to see a pic of the serpentine kit on the new motor before installed. Good luck with the project and keep the pictures coming.

Thanks! The serpentine kit was $800 from Jegs P/N 809-12497698
Seemed like a pretty good deal. The kit comes with a water pump (which I can't use on the Vette), 100 Amp Alternator, New PS pump, AC compressor, pulleys, tensioner, ETC.

The rotor is more than likely beyond being able to be turned. Oh well... I guess we will just have to put some slotted rotors on there now! 
More pictures as promised! The UPS driver was good to me today!
Got a nice dress up kit, plug wires, plugs, loom kit, Edelbrock 2101 IM (not sure if this is going to work), and a starter.
I don't think I will be sleeping much tonight in anticipation for the motor being delivered tomorrow!
