What is the correct material/color of the screws used to hold the vents/grills in place that are a) in front of the wiper door and b) on the rear deck of a 69?
The screws in the grill in front of my wiper door are unpainted silver - but mismatched in size/length. The screws in the vents on the rear deck are black metal. While these screws are all the same, there is a mixed bag of u-nuts they are screwed into. What is correct - plain screws, black screws, body color?
I believe that I saw a thread recently that stated the front vent screws were black. But mine were painted body color and, IMO, that's what looks best when you look over the car. The rear vent screws are black and match with the 'black' opening under the vents.
