Default Disassembling my rebuilt calipers

I am finally down to the last few pieces left for detailing before my chassis heads to Rick's place to get the motor and transmission installed.

I powdercoated my calipers yellow originally, and rebuilt them with an o ring kit from one of the vendors, which came with new pistons and seals. I want to paint them body color now, however the new pistons are a really tight press fit in the caliper halves.

Is there a way to pry them out without damaging the pressed fit? I'm pretty much redoing them over as the yellow powdercoat won't work with the new color I chose for the car, which is a blue.

Anyone here removed caliper parts without damage? Any tips? Can the rubber dust seals for o ring pistons be purchased separately from the entire rebuild kits?

Good morning Jeremy. One way to remove the pistons is to wrap the caliper half with a heavy towel, several layers thick but with enough room for the pistons to come out. Then apply a little air pressure to the brake fluid hole. I promise they will come out. Just use about 10 lbs. of pressure. mike...

if you're only going to paint and not powder coat, probably no need to dis-assmble

Hey mike...this worked great! However I did need to run a way higher pressure on my compressor. The calipers are now completely disassembled.
