69 convertible - fiberglass parts - recommend
#1
One C3-69er
My 69 is undergoing a frame off. Besides frame, the body seems to be in pretty bad shape. Any recommendations where to buy new fiberglass parts (quality, fit, value for the money)?

Hi c3,
69 frame-off restoration NICE!
Are you certain the fiberglass that's there can't be repaired? That's always a good choice unless it's in really bad shape.
Check out Sermersheim Fiberglass!
Regards,
Alan

Drifting
I used an ACI door-to-door piece for my 68 Roadster. Nice piece, highly recommended. I would like to fix the original pieces, but they were too damaged and fixed badly.

A few pics to clarify the issue...,
I did not wan't to buy one in a good shape as I wan't to modify the chassis (C4 suspension), body (flip front, rear diffusor etc.), engine (LS3?) etc., but did't expect it to be this bad. I've agreed to take it to a local body shop with experience working on Corvettes.
Cheers and enjoy

I love that you are saving a car somebody might have thrown away. Good for you.
PS, 10k isnt out of line for a full-boat body/paint job.

Some progress
The original frame was thrown to yank yard and a 76 donor frame was used to weld 91 C4 suspension components in place.
Body was torn in pieces and bird cage had some rust on it, as expected.
Bubba Joe had done some welding on it
Bird cage ready to accept body panels on it.
Now we are planning the rear diffuser and modifying the rear bumpers. Hope to show some progress on that soon.
Meanwhile doing some research on the tech. Planning on putting LS3 and T56 magnum in. Hydraulic clutch, hydroboost etc. But anybody with good ideas for brakes? Need ones that 91 C4 axels accept and need an ebrake as well.
Cheers!

Some progress
Putting things back together.
Exhaust. I hate it dragging low. Some rerouting yet to be done for brake lines etc.
Towards exit.
Diffuser and exhaust exits in the making.
