Default A/C outlet temp.

I have a 1971 convertible with A/C A6 unit that was converted to 134 freon. A week ago the outside temp. was 85 degrees, humidity 60%. My temperature probe read 60 degrees at the middle vent at max cooling and fan speed. I thought this was high and took my car to be serviced by the people that had worked on the A/C 2 years ago. They checked for leaks and found a slight leak at one of the fittings. fixed that, evacuated the system and refilled . 2 days latter the outside temp was 93 degrees, humidity was 75-80% and my probe read 70 degrees at the middle vent at max cool. What I want to know if others are getting reading as mine? I think on such a day I should at least get 50-55 degrees at the outlet. Am I wrong???
thanks
Mike

Did you have the POA valve recalibrated for R134?

I get 46-48 degrees from my R-134 system. Are you sure the heater line to the core is blocked off? Also, is your max ac setting opening the interior vent door in the passenger footwell and closing the outside air duct in the wiper trough?

This should give you the coolest air since it is recirculating cold air from the cabin.

It's a hot day in Pensacola so I checked my Vintage Air system. 98* outside temp, 75% humidity and my system was blowing 46*. I have measured it as low as 40* but on a cooler day.

If the shop measured correct hi and lo pressures your vent temps should be like 50 or lower....don't pay for any more "evac and recharge", its ok to just to add more gas if it needs it.

Just had mine recharged/converted to 134 and had 58 degrees at my center vent using a temp gun
