1981 replacement ashtray and console questions

Yes, I did. I have the shift pattern on the top of the ****, kinda hard to see in my bad pictures. right now there's a piece of electrical tape over an auto shift indicator. it matches up pretty good. I actually cut out a blank plate and painted it tonight. I'll see how it looks tomorrow.
My car also has a rear defrost, but I got a console without. (I've never once used it) I'm going to install a switch for the electric fans in the defrost spot.
