Since I purchased my 72 Corvette earlier this year I have had some issues getting my gauges working correctly. It seems that I couldn't get the temp gauge to read correctly, even though I got a new sensor (to match the year car). The fuel Gauge was always reading low, still need to check the ohms on the sending unit. Now the Ammpage gauge was reading negitive, even though the voltage at the battery read around 14v while running. So I orders some replacement gauges and here is where I am at. If I'm over looking something, please feel free to let me know.
The gauges are Equus Gauges 7000 series ( I think I spent $70 for all four gauges).
For now, I'm looking to try and get the clock back in. They didn't have a vacuum gauge in this style and size or I would have got one. I hope to get everything back in tonight or tomorrow.

The oil gauge is mechanical, the rest electrical (P, N, Sensor plugs on each) and two separate wires for the back lights. Did you buy the same brand? what issues did you run into?

Yes, they were the equus brand. I ran them in my car for about 8 months, temp gauge failed around the 4month mark and around the 8th month the oil line to the back of the gauge blew and spewed hot oil all over the inside of the car. At that point I removed them all and went electrical Autometers.
Maybe I got a bad batch, but just keep a close monitor on them.

It looks like they have a year warrenty on the. I will keep an eye on them. How long ago did you purchase your gauges and were the same series?
Most of the original C3 gauges are still working...or are capable of working, if properly installed and wired correctly. Cheapo aftermarket gauges? Good luck. Believe me, it's a lot simpler to get functional C3 gauges to read correctly than to re-engineer other gauges together with C3 sender units. Willcox has some instructional videos that you can download to see how the original gauges should be installed and wired.
Well three of the four I replaced were either not working correctly or bad. So I replaced them all. I know these were cheap, but I also liked the way they looked. Not sure how a single aftermarket gauge can cost $50 ea.
Oh well, I'm done and here's the pictures.
Not sure what the reflection on the clock is, but its not discolored.
