'81 wiper motor questions
Have the wiper motor on the bench and have tried testing following Wilcox instructions, but no go.
Put +12V to center terminal, ground to the case, and then with terminals 1 & 3 jumpered connect to ground and all I get is a "click" from the internal relay, but no motor movement.
Removed jumper and tried grounding just 3 and get nothing. Ground to 1 and get the "click".
In fact I get the "click" with 1 and 3 jumpered and the case grounded.
That is all it will do.
And I believe the wipers were working before taking everything apart for painting. Not 100% sure as did not drive in what little rain we get here.
The wiper motor I have is not the same as in the Wilcox bench test picture; I do not have any exposed motor wires. Wiper motor has a Delco part number on it, but have no idea if original or a replacement by PO.
Any assistance appreciated.
