Very Nice. Why not take the original motor as well? Sounds like it comes with the deal. I think the owners asking prise is fair based on the description, you might try offering $12,500 or so, but I don't think this one will be on Ebay for too long. Should be an absolute blast to drive.

Make the offer and see what happens. I too would keep the original engine. You may have no use for it, but the day may come when it gats sold, and the original engine may increase the value of make the deal. Looks good, check under it before you habd over all the cash.

Will you be able to see the car in person and drive it while the cash is still in your pocket?
Besides the original engine and hood, you should get the wiper door, grill, and door mechanism, if they're available.
