Wouldn't bet $79 its a motion, let alone $7900. Even if it was, it's trashed.

Never believe anything that starts with "Story is...."

I see Motion style valve covers. I do not see anything else which leads me to believe this car ever saw the inside of Mr. Rosen's shop. No documentation is offered, or even mentioned. I call BS.....

There are many Corvettes around that Motion worked on (not true Motion cars but cars that were brought there for tune-ups, engine work, bolt on parts, ect). I think that's what is being implied here. Motion parts or not this car needs a ton of work.

I think a bunch of documentation is in order here to back up the claim. Maybe some receipts, dyno slips.. Something other than valve covers and a gas cap.

The fuzzy Motion connection and the work needed make this a $2K car for me at best... if the frame and cage are salvageable. That Accel Super Coil is not a period piece for certain. OP should continue looking unless he wants to seriously lowball this piece just because he (like me) is a sucker for a car in need of a caring owner. It definitely ain't a Motion "full custom".

Here's my thoughts, since you asked for them - that is a $1500 store it outside under a tarp parts car with a cool fuel filler (that needs to be refinished) and cool valve covers (that need to be refinished)

Hi,
Over the years I've THOUGHT about Motion cars a couple of times.
Can my wife sell my brain as a Motion brain when I die?
Regards,
Alan

I was thinking aw.... C'mon, $2k? Then I saw the photos and read the link. My guess is they might get a little more, but not much. Seriously, the rear quarter is just CUT OFF? ... and not something exactly capable of being patched. Based on the rusted out sidepipes, I cannot imagine the rest of the car is much more than fiberglass parts held together by rust particles. They don't mention that it runs, so it's a fairly good bet it doesn't. Can't really see it, but it looks like the rear bumper is gone, too.

for real looking to spend 7900? wait a little longer, save more, but a good driver off of craigs or a forum member for 10k or even 13k....it will be worth the wait and be worth spending more money, especially if you find a good forum member to buy from

I give you exhibit A:

The way those side pipes are rusted, that frame has got to be toast. This guy see's old corvette and thinks $$$. Not the case with this one.
I also love "the interior is in really great shape", except for no carpet and trashed door panels.
