Hello
I have some mirrors for my 71. The problem is that the mirror on them is the same but yet the base for mounting is different. Is there away to separate the mirror case from the bracket/base that mounts to the car? Thanks

A chrome small head driver's side mirror was stock. A matching passenger's side mirror became available through dealers after your car was assembled. Previous owners could have added aftermarket mirrors through the years.
