thanks bud its taken a 76 Camaro to a 89 c4 to a 71 350 stingray to get to this one .a big learning curve but with all the experience from others working on there cars and sharing we all learn from each other its great fun
Thanks for that a lot of people think an old car you need a lead additive I am sure they had unleaded back then .
Unleaded was introduced a few years after your car was built and became available everywhere by '75 . The 'myth' is that the valve seats will burn away if lead is not present. Might be true on some cars, not on Corvette.
Cheers for that .I was told that a lot of older cars had to have hardend valve seats fitted for the new fuels but did not want to have to do the heads as the car runs mint now.
hi jerry i was hoping you would see it i found some photos of the car and was told by one of the previous owners that he brought the car at carlisle in 2009 so started looking and found a photo of it on the corvette forum that jay took and you said it was your 427 that you sold to aussie bloke cheers Grant
WOW,What a beautiful corvette you have there, It doesnt get much better then a 69 black, side exhaust, redlines and tri power, any pics of the interior?
