2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (appearance mods)
C3 of Year Winner (appearance mods) 2019
I don't know which is harder to watch. The 'vette going into the water, or the acting in that movie.
What a shame. Especially a Vette that starts up that nice! 1:49.
I was about 17 when that movie came out. Back then I was so desperate for my own wheels I'd have owned a 1960 4 door Studebaker that somebody died in. So naturally I was horrified when they drowned that Corvette.

Mike 6811 quoted this it made me feel little bit better..
"According to Tom's commentary track on the DVD, he was told nothing negative would happen if the car got submerged. He was told wrong and had to pay a hefty repair bill."
To my understanding the the producer/director borrowed the car from a Chevrolet dealer and someone told him that it would dry out and be ok. Can you imagine what the dealer thought when they bought it back. A $6,200 dollar mistake that in reality made the movie unforgettable.
That is painful to watch, even now. Then again, Hollyweird has never balked at destroying perfectly good cars to make movies or TV shows...
Here's another question (since this is CF and some of us are **** enough to notice such things), is the driver side mirror upside down? I noticed it at 1:20 then again at 1:24.

Are my eyes playing more tricks?
Yeah, looks like a passenger side mirror turned upside down. If I remember correctly, the car is a 4 speed. If so, the kid was nice enough to hold the clutch so Billy could start it. I may be wrong on that though.
