A few weeks ago I started a list of things I needed to correct on my 71 things that I had done earlier but was not satisfied with the results. One was a small offset gap in the driver side fender surround from a earlier repair I needed to add a little glass and I needed to paint the trim on the wiper door and corners. I had problems with the corners of the trim on the wiper door setting flush. The trim was from another car it turns out that the trim was bent some probably from someone opening the wiper door manually by lifting on the end of the trim. Alan's photos help me determine this and inspired me to get mine as close to perfect as I could. The “While I am at it bug” bit me in the process as I ended up painting the whole front clip.
Many thanks to Alan for his photos that have help so many of us.

Hi Scott,
Thanks very much, but almost everything I know I've learned the hard way, which has taken it's toll!
Regards,
Alan
Still haven't REALLY learned...at Carlisle I bought a 69 center gauge bezel I should have passed on, but passed on a set of tabbed rocker trim panels I should have bought, and was 5 min. late on an original 68-72 air dam.

Hey Alan! That air dam you just missed is for sale - PM me for details ...ahh, just kidding.
Was good to see and visit you in Carlisle. Thanks for stopping by. I made it through the day today without buying any C6 gizmos, can you believe it? On our way home now - don't worry, I'm the passenger.
Hi rr,
Yes, quite a good couple of days for Corvettes at Carlisle. This is the first time in years I DON'T feel as though the little brain I have left has been 'grilled' by the August sun at the 'fairgrounds'!!!
I'm going through the catalogues now assembling a list of aftermarket items for your GS. I'm thinking a flame motif would be nice. You'd be surprised the amount of items available that have laser cut flames on them. Would you consider Lambo style door hinges?
Regards,
Alan
