Default 69 windshield washer system setup

Hello all,

I have a new to me 1969 without air 350 corvette. I have noticed that the windshield washer system is missing, and have been looking around at rebuilding it. I have ordered the AIM but don't have it yet. I think I have found the right parts (bracket, jar, lid, etc).

my question is where should I mount it?

In the picture there are two holes at location 1, and 4 dimples, not drilled at location 2. which is correct? I presume the bracket at location 3 is just to hold hoses (?).

Also there seems to be a outlet on the washer system, what does this hook up to?

all and any help is appreciated.

Hi v69,
The overflow tank mounting bracket mounts at the #2 location if the car has one. The washer bottle mounts below that and further to the right on the apron. I'm surprised you don't see signs of the holes.
The nipple on the valve on the left side of the washer pump and wiper motor is for the hose that leads to the headlight washers that 69 cars had. If you want to get that system operating you MAY need to increase your swear-word vocabulary.
Regards,
Alan

thanks Alan, I will look for the holes below the area where the overflow was supposed to be. I don't think this car was supposed to have an overflow tank.

One more question then what mounted in the holes at the #1 position I had in the photo?

The holes at #1 were most likely drilled after the car left the factory. Some type of bubba mod.

Old thread same question. Where does the Washer Jar go ? However, this time it is a non-AC car. I understand that they switched to a black Jar so that they would not be seen threw the Gills so it must be somewhat low. I have replacement factory inner Fenders and there are some Dimples for holes but none of them line up. I'm going to guess it goes on the flat spot on the back side of the inner fender where it could be seen threw the Gills.
