grommets

as you can see in the pic my 81 has 4 grommets across the trunk area. my aim book shows the same but I have never seen a rack for one. any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!

Those mount the V54 optional roof top carrier and are factory installed.

At one itme, your car had the V54 rack.

Never have seen that before...and sitting down is right, 3 of the 4 pieces are on ebay right now. The center 2 are $550 and one end piece is $75. At least they are original.
