Default question about fiberglass

Hey guys, I'm working towards the end of my '81 body off resto-mod and ran into an issue I'm at a loss for.

when I bought this car is was partially dissasembled, the hood was basically just sitting on the car. any how, I bolted the hood on the car and it looks like its "bowed" down the length of the drivers side edge. it sits flush at the front where the hinge is and sits flush when the latch is, but in the center it sits about 1/2" higher than the fender. the passanger side is flush all the way through.

is is possible that the hood was left sitting in a weird possition too long and "took a set"? since I've had the car the hood has been hanging on the wall waiting for paint and body work. I've checked for obstructions on the drivers side thinking it was maybe hitting the master cylinder booster but there is plenty of clearance.

right now I've got a bath towl folded a couple times and four 8" cinder blocks sitting on it where the bow is the worst, I figure I'll let it stay that way for a while until I get the interior installed in the car then see how it's doing.

any suggestions on how to correct this????

Yes, fiberglass can and will warp if stressed for a long time. Sometimes you can warp it back, sometimes not. Leave the weights on it and hope for the best.
