if the car was in water, i would not try to start it until checking everything first...make sure the engine turns over, new spark plugs, clean fuel supply, perhaps clean out carb, and check wiring for corrosion. trying to start it before you check everything out could cause more damage. good luck with it. here is some fuse box info:

also, there is a great guy here on forum that can send complete wiring diagram to you by email...good luck
To begin with, welcome to the forum and C3s. My guess is you'll be cool having a running Corvette over there even if you call it a 79 C3

To begin with, you will probably have a fair bit of work on you hurricane car. The wiring was already old and these cars rust at the best of times. Being under salt water doesn't help this.
I understand that you want to start the motor and hear it run right away but this probably isn't the best place to start. If you really want to start with the motor, make sure that you change the oil and put on a fresh filter first. This will help prevent damage to the motor if you do get it running.
Before you try to move the car, make sure that the brakes work. C3 brakes can give you lots of problems.
If the fuses are out of the fuse box, I would guess that there are electrical problems. The good news is that you can buy all of the electrical harnesses and replacing them isn't all that hard. It sounds like it will take a while for you to get parts but this may be a good place to start. Also, there is a thread on this forum where a person emails wiring diagrams to you. That might get you help faster.

Again, welcome and keep asking questions. Lots of knowledge here.
Edit: looks like Razman already gave you the free wiring diagram link. Oops. I guess I shouldn't post before I wake up.

Не quite sure about the Chevy Corvette C3 79. On the forum decided to write the full name of the car and the year of issue,so that everyone understands what is at stake. Thanks again for the help, I will keep you in the loop.

Manul, I am willing to bet you are going to have to replace that entire wiring harness. I would get started procuring one as soon as possible. its only a matter of time since the electricity going through those salt water damaged connections is going to drive you crazy trying to trouble shoot.
Keep us posted as to the status and we need pics!!! when you get it running we want pics from all over Russia with the car in the foreground!
what a beautiful city...
