Thanks Ray and everyone. My wife and I at 55 years of age agreed on a saying which we tell each other from time to time:

"Don't be sad for me if I die before you.....because we helped each other live through the hardest part of Life......the rest will be easy."

I hope the above makes sense to you all.

Well....well......well. Fast-forward: Three percocets (sp?), two MRIs, and two morphine shots later.......I'm still bright-tailed and bushy eyed

(The V.A. finally gave up and sent me to the hospital after 5 weeks)

Maybe the Docs will believe me now when I tell them it..................

If they say anything just ask them ; what was I supposed to do ? I can't tow my Vette around in a slow , ugly , wheelchair! What would the neighbors think !

Hopefully they will do something for you quickly!

I've been waiting about two months months now just to find out what the X-ray results were on my thumb after waiting four or five years for them to take the X-ray!

Percocets are like tic tacs to me, better pain relief from baby aspirin.
About time they got you to the hospital.
Hope you can get some relief and soon.

PLEASE don`t feel alone DG.....my "3 day" trip to the hospital turned out to be 12. Now that surgery is over, I just had ANOTHER ct scan yesterday, and am getting ready to start on chemo drugs. What a fun ride THAT promises to be! I feel your pain brother, and I`m right there with you! And my offer still stands.... if ya ever need to just talk to somebody who KNOWS what you`re feeling, just PM me a phone number, and we`ll chat!

It's called "Strategy"......(If they drag out the process, the patient either heals As-Is.......or goes to a private doctor.....or dies)

Always remember......in their line of Work--the term is "Acceptable Losses"

I forgot about my Vette's Birthday!

Am I in big trouble? December 14th, 1967 was the "build date".

Between tests at the hospital/the ruptured discs/medication/etc. I was distracted/hurting too much to realize the date :

Anyhow.......Happy (late) Birthday to my car!

originally posted by derekderek: and it was it's 50th. you had a lot of damn gall to go and get all effed up and miss your car's 50th birthday!! i think it'll forgive you. i saw what bubba turned it into, and what you are turning it back into. did Rvz's nose piece ever get there?

O.O.K. I'm home from the hospital concerning my paralyzed leg. They injected a nerve blocker drug into my spine where the spinal cord is being pinched. The good news is it works well enough that I am not to the point of yelling. The bad new is I still am hurting too much to work on the car.....and the wheelchair is my method of transportation.

It's really a strange thing to be walking one day and wheeling the next.....BUT....wheeling is better than 24/7 in the bed!

Merry Christmas Tony, Roger, Priya, everybody. I think it is John Lennon's words: "Let's have us a good one, without any tears."
