Now if I can remember how to do fiberglass work!

RATS! Home repairs and S.I.L. in hospital tied me up for 2 days...I still need to do diagonal braces to square up the clip before any fiberglass work begins...

Making progress is always good! Keep at it in whatever available time you have.

Also add a horizontal brace where the spoiler will fit.
Good luck, you're getting there!

Thanks Guys. I did more 2 X 4ing today and roughing in the headlight brace and bumper brace...

The passenger fender is 1/2" higher than the driver fender........

I think I'll set the hood in place and trim the cross boards to get an even gap on the clip/hood fitment.

Hey Tony,
Looking good!
With all that wood bracing, it almost resembles a Model A.

Hey Tony !!! I This is Andy Tuttle! I am doing well! Thad is now married (1 year May) and they are expectong a baby come September. SInce I last posted, my old email service closed up, so I had to start a new account - Giddy-Up Go. Last I checked that thread was gone - at least I cen't find it, Anyway, after a new hip, and my Pretty Princess getting two new knees and all the other sstuff (including a real bout of +I don't want to do anything since my partner is gone - a serious case of Congestive Heart Failure ain't helping) I am back to once again working on Giddy-up Go, Need a pic of tension spring on the parking brake. Also the bushings for the rear tractioon bar don'r fit. And lasstly, my differential is for a big block, and the coonector at front of punkin where drive shaft attaches appears to take a cap like the half shafts instead of a simple u-joint connector, I can't posst pictures yet,but thought I would check with you. I will try to contact an administrator to see if my old info can be revived. I lost all info for engine rebuild and everythiing. Anyway, just wanted to check with you first! MY email is now pastorandytuttle@proton.me Send me something and I will send you my phone/text (number is still the same if you have it but unfortunately I lost your contact info long while back.

Vette will be on hold this week.

UPDATE:
SIL got more bad news...they have to remove Part of her stomach and intestines. Her siblings, adult kids/minor grandkids are taking it hard...might be too weak to have surgery Thurs.

I may as well force myself to do a little Vette clip work to make the time go faster.

That’s a rough prognosis! Hope she’s not in pain.
Going well on the clip. Looks like you’ve got it pretty fortified. I’ve never been good at getting stuff lined up (door panels, hoods, etc) on cars. A skill that has not taken root with me.

Thanks L.V. she[s in pain un til the drugs kick in and she is able to fall asleep.

I roughed in some leftover oieces of fiberglass and a new lower valence a member sent to me a coupl,e years ago......

Passenger fender extensions to match long L88 hood.....

Pieces and parts roughed in to see what I'm working with.......After I bond the headlite support and rivet the nose brace in place The clip shoud be solid enough to add a roll-around platform under the wooden braces.

Tony,I figured you would be done with yours as long as I have been gone! But i guess you are just getting some more experience to help me with mine when it gets to that point! Keep it up!

I removed the passenger-side fiberglass fender inner support that connects to the vertical radiator support a couple years ago. Now I with need to remove the driver-side support to install the front piece of the fender....

I can't get the correct curve in the fender patch panel with the piece circled in yellow in place...

That’s a lot of work Tony.
At least you are getting something accomplished.
I’m stuck here and I’m not complaining!

I like where you are!
Some more bracing today

The clip was leaning 1.5” to the passengers side. Now the clip is 3D square.

I also removed the inner panel from the drivers side since it was too far forward and prevented the Headlite Support Bar from fitting.

The braces are looking like train trestles.

Slowly I turn...the only good way to make sure pieces and parts are fitting right is to install shiny stuff to check the fit.......

Close enough for today.
