Buy a qt. of Gloss Black (only the fenders. headlite doors, and grill area need painting.
1. I need build a new wooden stand to hold the clip for sanding.
2. Sand the whole clip.
2a. Re-Bond the reinforcement bar to the underside behind the headlite openings.
2b. Mock up the headlite assemblies,
3. Build up the low areas to get the contour right at the repairs.
4. MORE sanding...more filler if needed.
5. Repeat #4...spray a thin film of Black primer.
6. Repeat #4 and #5 as many times as necessary.
7. Remove clip from stand.
8. Fit the clip to the body and frame.
9. Spray Black Gloss.
10. The hood was painted by a local shop...I need to buff the haze caused by dust overspray
It will rain all week in Loo-z-anna, so it will be a good time to reinstall the center console,
readjust driver door glass (dropping 3/4" at top rear of glass,
driver door panel,
Bezel for driver door push button,
install new driver mirror,
install steering wheel 2" Quik-Release,
reinstall deck lid locking assembly,
seal non-functional gas tank door,
reinstall rear bumper braces
(Anything I forgot please let me know since this will be my 1st real attempt on a real car)

My Checklist:

1a. fit clip to the body.
1a. Repair the door lift/lower mechanism on driver's side. < Halfway repaired
2. Sand the whole clip.
2a. Re-Bond the reinforcement bar to the underside behind the headlite openings.
2b. Mock up the headlite assemblies,
3. Build up the low areas to get the contour right at the repairs.
4. MORE sanding...more filler if needed.
5. Repeat #4...spray a thin film of Black primer.
6. Repeat #4 and #5 as many times as necessary.
7. Remove clip from stand.
8. Fit the clip to the body and frame.
9. Spray Black Gloss.
10. The hood was painted by a local shop...I need to buff the haze caused by dust and overspray.
(Consider making reinforced bonds to the clip can be body so clip can either be tilted or removed easily)
I found the problem with the door glass droppimg 3/4" at the rear of the glass...the rear roller was never installed in the horizontal track...I wonder who did THAT????

Ready to build the roll-a-round for the front clip...got boards and wheels....
It will have the factory correct wiring diagram.
Using anything else could be suspect.
Also remember there may have been someone else in the fuse box doing their own version of the wiring.





Now that its in the garage out of the weather I can begin taking frame measurements to start building the clip roll-a-round around stand. THIS outghta be fun






The cross braces are cut to correct length for the hood to fit in the opening .
Now I have to add vertical braces to remove the “twist” out of the clip.
Also add a horizontal brace where the spoiler will fit.
