Nice pictures. Thanks for posting them.
I would love to drive that Tiger to see how it handles with that V8 in such a short wheel base car with by today's standards tiny tires.

I have been betwixt and between about buying a Tiger for many years. But I waited too long. Now the prices for a good one are beyond my range: in chrome bumper C3 territory or beyond. In fact the real/certified ones (not Alpine clones) are close to $40,000-50,000. They like Pontiac GTOs can be certified. No such thing for a Corvette.
How do they handle? I do not know. But the real ones I have seen do not have skinny tires. I would love to drive one. But that is a dream. The ones I saw in Canada many years ago were prone to pretty severe road salt corrosion (rust) much like a Corvette. In fact Rootes never provided any rustproofing on their cars. The one I saw today was OK 8.5/10 but needed some trim work. But it was very nice.
It had a 302cid engine that never appeared in the Tiger. The original engine was a 260cid V8. But what the heck the owner loved the car. I did as well.
I always enjoy your posts. I know of a guy here in central VA that also owns a Sunbeam Tiger. He also owns several Corvettes, to include a 54, but no C3's. Hopefully you can get in a couple more drives before the white stuff comes!

Looks like 32-34*F tonight. But we won't see the white stuff until November-December. I am looking forward to the changing of the leaves drives and pics of course. Hopefully I will get the black vinyl hardtop on soon. I need some help getting it out of the basement (bad back) but some friends may drop by.
