Pics from a Show Today
The vehicle beside mine is called a Marcos Mantula. I have never seen one before or even heard of them. The owner said there were 2 or 3 in Canada. It is of British origin and features a Buick 215cid V8 engine. That all-aluminum engine was used in early 1960s Skylarks. It did not really catch on and manufacturing rights were sold to Rover in England where it was marketed as a 3.5L V8. Nice car but very small.

This is a newer Maserati that was parked behind me. I do not know their model types but very nice.

This is one of my favourite cars from the 1960s although I have never owned one. The Sunbeam Tiger was a variant of the Alpine but with a Ford V8 engine. That is particularly interesting as the mother corporation (Rootes UK) was bought out by Chrysler and yet the Tiger continued on with a Ford engine several years after the sale. It was a poor man's Cobra.

A beautiful 1957 hardtop.

This is a Model A Ford car/truck(?) Woodie. It does not have windows. I do not know what the owner does when it rains....

No car show would be complete without a ratrod. This one had very upscale flour sack seat covers. It had 12 spark plugs; six per bank. The engine was a flathead something but 12 spark plugs??

Finally, an absolutely gorgeous 1941 Lincoln Zephyr. WoW!!

A very good show close to the end of the driving season here. I enjoyed it.

Poutine? Love it but can't eat it for cholestrol reasons. I am 6'1" and 165lbs and like to keep things that way. But it is so, so good! I suspect most people have no idea what we are talking about.

That 1941 Lincoln/Zephyr blew me away today. That car is 72-years-old. But it belongs on a showroom floor. I tried to find the owner to congratulate him/her but no luck. I just sat back behind my 1974, sucked on a cappachino(sp?), and hoped someone noticed it. Few people did. Mais, c'est la vie when you are surrounded by classic car excellence. The old C3s are brides-maids.
