Locating Ammeter shunt

Can anyone help me out with locating point "B" on this diagram?

I've traced up from the starter solenoid, but am not really finding it...

Point "B" is inside the wiring harness...somewhere. The 'shunt' is just a specific length of wire in that wiring harness. There is resistance (although, very small) in any wire, so GM just used the resistance of that particular harness wire as the shunt for the ammeter.

I actually opened the wiring harness up all the way to the firewall and haven't found a junction on the red wire yet. Still looking!

What color and gauge wire is on the engine side fuse block in the position shown above?

On my '72, it was in between the distributor and the horn relay. I believe it was right around the steering column area. Keep looking, it's in there. Good luck.
