73 hood stripe

73 hood stripe
I am thinking about doing a motion style stripe on my 73.
my concern is it has the stock hood and not the L88 or LT1 for the stripe to end in. I thought about running the stripe straight down the hood and under the nose, but the width of the "cowl" hood is wider then the space between the head lights. I think it wouldn't look right with the stripes run across a 1/4 of the heads lights.
I considered having the stripe cut in around the head lights including the pin stripe.
thoughts or opinions ???

Were all the 'Motion' stripes the same?
Here's one on a 69 Motion car that has the stripe ending on the hood, not continuing onto the surround. Could you do something similar with your hood's raised area?
It seems to me the 'Motion' stripe 'look' is more about the treatment on the rear clip rather than the front.

thats a good idea, kinda like the side stripes on the late C3's, coming out of the fender cove.
