I really like the looks of it, a C3 with a little bit of a GT40 look. I read just recently that the "Retro" cars are losing their appeal to the public. Not sure if its true or not.

I've read that too. It seems to be tough to follow up after a retro release. Take a look at the Mustang. Really cool retro/vintage release, but the newer ones are so-so. Not sure If I like the lights treatment. Dodge's first retro release - the Charger, didn't relly match the prototype that they planned it on. So when they did the Challenger, way better attention to detail (The "new" Charger looks better than the first release, IMO). It's also important to note that both models were brought back.
As I ponder this, I'm glad Chevy is keeping the corvette fresh without the need to follow the retro crowd (even tho the C3 retro pics are killer). I think it's more important to the next (c8) Vette

In fact the new vette is really growing on me
It seems the public (myself included) are critical of change and then we except it and become critical of the next change.

You're absolutely right, but in this case it's not really a resisting change thing for me. I just really like that yellow prototype. The actual C7 doesn't have the same wow factor for me.

I would like them even more if I could afford one (C7)
