Default Vacuum Nipple

I need one of these vacuum nipples, don't have a junk yard near by and haven't been able to find any on line. Any suggestions?

What is its purpose? Where does it go? What year car?

It is from my 1979 vette and connects to the heater control valve under the hood but I have seen it inside the car at the vacuum actuators inside the car as well.

That style is to keep the hose on the fitting. fold the small end over, slide it on the valve and then straighten the end over the valve fitting. Might be a tough replacement to come up with. You can get a short piece of standard vacuum hose that will slip onto the fitting and then insert the line into that. Think of it as a splice connector.

Trying to keep it original under the hood, can't believe anybody hasn't ever run up against this before.
