Bought my car
So here it is, 70 LS5 vert, 4-speed, Bridgehampton Blue, white top, black basic interior, PS, MB, AM FM, numbers matching engine and trans, 370 rear gears.

The paint is recent, top is new, int is new, new SS brakes, exhust, tires, front suspension, the PO put a lot of money into it. What it needs is some sorting. The little things that make it a top notch car need to be done.

I have not had time to take real pictures so just a couple that my wife took with her cell for now. The bottom looks good, very clean.
So in today's market what's something like this cost?? Well there are probabally nicer cars out there for what I paid, but this was in driving distance, I only have so much time to keep looking at cars, it had what I wanted, A little time by me and it whll be all I could hope for.

There are questions that I have and will have, like why does the wiper door keep going up and down by it's self?
So that's it, oh BTW I paid $37,000 and don't feel too bad about it.
TIA Lenny
I am sure you have a vacuum leak or bad actuator somewhere that is causing the wiper door issue. Check out the Wilcox site they have a lot of free troubleshooting guides.
With the car running, reach in behind the wiper door (back of hand against windshield) and push the passenger side wiper arm down and see if the door closes.
Enjoy your new car, congratulations!

That was worth the wait for sure.
Congrats.
Your 70 looks like a very nice one!
You asked about price. I think you did well if the car is mechanically sound, rust free, and drives well.
There's a whole lot to like in a 70, convertible, 454, 4-speed!!!!
Good Luck with it!

Alan
For the wiper door situation there are more than a few possibilities.
You might want to get a vacuum pump with gauge, like a Mity-vac, and a trouble shooting guide like the one from Dr.Rebuild.
This will allow you to test each of the components to determine what's going on rather than just beginning replacing parts.

plus its a great color and 1970 are hard to find .
