Default Hershey AACA Fall Meet 2013

Some C3 action

The meet was pretty much a wash out. It rained 10 inches between Thursday morning and Saturday morning. Most of the vendors left on Friday. The sun came out at least for the car show on Saturday which was nice. If you want to see all the photos you can see them here. Be warned, there are over 600 photos!

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had a great time despite the weather.

Great pics and it had to feel good, taking the pics and knowing, that now, you too own a Corvette. No, wait, let me correct that. The Corvette now owns you! But really, you brought a car, that really doesn't need much! It was a really nice 74' and you're not going to have to throw money at it, as much or as often (but you will! Trust me!).

Thanks for posting pics. I was there on Friday ... it was raining sideways ! My son and I were soaked (and we had raincoats & umbrellas). It was my son's first time and he still had a blast (I guess it beats going to school). Hopefully next year is better weather.

Just finished looking at all 600 pics! Man, you are the car guy! Loved the Desoto Adventurer's, esp. the one in black, with gold trim, gold grill, gold hubcaps and that was beyond awesome!

I know that guy. He gave me an exhaust manifold for my 56 Dodge that came of a parts car. Well I know the restorer I should say. He is super nice. He does amazing work. His shop is in Kansas. That car also has the Hi-way Hi-Fi which is the record player in the middle. He did get the senior award with that car which is the highest award.

I got there Wednesday night. Was at the show all day Thursday, got drizzled on steadily but not awful. Started pouring about 2:30. Friday was a complete disaster, pure wash out. Went to the museum but apparently everyone else within a 50 mile radius did too.

Saturday I got there early and most the vendors had left, I was bummed. However, there was a grouping of them near the Giant building and towards the show field so it wasnt a total waste. Spent some money at Keen's Corvette Parts.

The show field was awesome. Great cars. Ill post some pics later.

Wet week for 1500 mile drive.

It was raining sideways! Friday was ridiculous. I started walking the car coral around 7:30 and I was soaked to the bone by 10:30.

I think you pretty much did the same as me. I did not spend any money on my Vette. I hadn't picked it up yet and I didn't want to jinx it! Thanks for showing your pics!

I expected to do a lot of shopping, but I managed to spend plenty on just 2 purchases: a set of NOS '63 rockers still in the GM wrappers and a NIB '63 glove box door.
My $ per item ratio was high.

Agreed, although in this case, sometimes it rains, other times it sets an all-time historic rainfall total on 2 consecutive days!

Here are pix from the "money tent" at the RM Auction at The Lodge. I was standing in 1/2" of fast running water taking these pix.

BTW, I am NOT standing on the running board, think Captain Morgan.
