Here's a 69 350 4speed that a friend has spent 4-5 yrs restoring. I have asked a couple of questions here throughout the restore. The information has been helpful. There's just a bit of fine tuning left to do.
Yes, very nice. Does seem to be sitting up a little high. Really don't mean to be a nit picker. Congratulations on the restore...another 69 will live on!! Thanks for the post.
............
On my 68, I had to cut a coil out of the front spring because my ZZ4 weighed less than the stock engine. This was done to lower the front. I adjusted the rear height with the bolt on the transverse leaf spring. Also, the appearance of having a car sitting up too high may be due to incorrect tires.
What are the chances that your friend not only joins the forum but one of you provides some more detailed images? Love to see some more pictures, please.
It does have the 4x4 look going on though. It's common issue, a guy at a local show restored a red 69 BB coupe and it had like 8 " clearance at all four wheels. , Believe it was worse than this.....He really did notice it ill he pulled up along side my car. It was his first corvette and he really didn't notice as he restored it.
I think people.Don't realize the rates will change th height so drastic., and thus Order the wrong springs. I got new front coils from ADvance Auto , they have TRW springs, the exact same as GM used for much les than Chevy parts counter. The ride height was exactly factory spec. After they were installed.

Thanks for the replies. I will try to get him onto the forum along with some more pics. He did struggle with the springs and they were sent back and forth a couple of times to the vendors, I'm not sure who he used for springs.
