Ok Guys,

Now that you have had the opportunity to look at the rust issue in the No 2 mounts , how can this issue be fixed ?

I have started to remove the mounting bolts , because all the rubber bushings are perished , i am struggling with the passenger side No 2 bolt because as you can see from the pictures there is no head left , so i will have to grind this one until it will go through the body . The drivers side No1 sheared in two so that was one less to worry about .
Both No 4 mounts appear to have twisted the caged nut inside the housing , so i am assuming the only way to deal with these two is to cut them and address the seized in bolts when i lift the body to change the mounts .
How do i go about repairing the No 2 mount points ? Can this be done leaving the front clip on the body ? Well guys any words of advice and direction will be gratefully appreciated .

I had to grind the heads off the bolts for the #4 mount when I took the body off of my 70. You could do the same with your #2 mounts or possibly weld a nut onto what's left if the bolt, try to spin it out. I suspect it may be frozen, you may be better off grinding the head off.

I don't know how you'd gain access without removing the front clip and firewall. Maybe someone else knows of a way to get around this.

I was able to fix mine without removing the front clip John but I suppose it will depend on how extensive the damage is. Rick
